Rio Grande Electric Cooperative (RGEC) Construction Superintendent Severo Martinez, of Brackettville, retired June 10, with over 36 years of service to Rio Grande and its members.
Severo began his Co-op career October 15, 1985, as a Lineman’s Helper. Since then, he has held the positions of Apprentice Lineman, Lineman 2nd Class, Lineman 1st Class, Journeyman Lineman, Journeyman Line Foreman, Journeyman Line Foreman- LAFB, and most currently, Construction Superintendent.
Nearly 75 RGEC employees, retirees, and family, and gathered to celebrate the event.
Severo’s hard work and dedication will be greatly missed, but we wish him the best in his retirement, as he looks forward to spending more time with his wife, Mimi, and family!
