Jan is a fourth-generation Texan, born in an agriculture family. There have been few years in her life that she hasn't depended on a rural electric cooperative. Jan's formal education was shaped at Hereford ISD, West Texas State University, Texas Tech, and the University of Corpus Christi. She and her husband, Stan Metcalf, moved to Brackettville in 2006. Jan contributes experience, stability, education, and enthusiasm. She currently serves on the Rio Grande Electric Cooperative Bylaws, CEO/Board Review, and Policy board committees.
