Storm Hits Co-Op Community

Though still severely lacking rain, Co-op country has been hit by a series of severe thunderstorms. The first week of May was a particularly rough one, as the photos below illustrate. The first row of photos were taken in the Brackettville area, where 10 poles were downed the night of May 4, in what the National Weather Service believes were microbursts. Winds of near 70 mph were recorded with this storm.

The Fort Stockton Operations Area was also impacted by a series of storms during this time, with severe thunderstorms and even a confirmed tornado.
