A popular new option this year for the busy member on the go, is SMS text messaging of director election information. Survey and Ballot Systems (SBS), our contracted election management company, will even send you a link to the online ballot. To receive information via text, you first must opt-in. RGEC distributed an email to members last month, advising them of the new option and providing the link to opt-in.
If you want to receive election information and reminders this way, just contact your local Co-op office and advise them of your desire to participate. You must have a mobile phone number associated with your account, in order to do so.
The opt-in period for the current year election ends 9/6/23, but will reopen in 2024 for the next election cycle. This convenient new feature works with both Apple and Android systems. For more information on the SMS text option, click the “Director Election” button on our homepage.
