Job Description

Assist in the proper management and processing of materials. Materials must be recorded correctly for financial statement accuracy.  Assist with maintaining Work Orders according to RUS Accounting.

Working Conditions

  • Office environment
  • To ensure all employees are provided with drug free and alcohol-free working conditions, pre-employment, post-accident, reasonable cause and random drug and alcohol tests are conducted on all employees
  • Some overtime hours may be required
  • Subject to travel and overnight stay

Duties and Responsibilities

  • Reconcile materials, staking sheets and timesheets for closing monthly Blanket Work Orders
  • Record assets for work orders (Record Units)
  • Create and maintain Electronic folders for blankets and regular work orders
  • Process MR Invoices for CIAC, Meter Loops & Employee Purchases
  • Monitor Smart Track Work Orders and keep tasks on schedule
  • Review Daily Material Posting report
  • Process Material Corrections
  • Populate Work Order requests to IVUE along with adding GL accounting to new work orders
  • Review & populate Cost Estimates
  • Assist with reconciling & issuing Closing reports for regular work orders
  • Assist area office managers and customer service representatives with work orders and materials
  • Compile and scan the staking sheets for the RUS 219’s
  • Back up for Purchasing; processing requisitions and purchase orders
  • Issue Co-op numbers for special equipment along with reviewing report for new purchases
  • Know procedures for assigning asset numbers for purchase orders and credit card purchases
  • Assist with special projects
  • Learn and comply with Cooperative’s safety rules and procedures
  • Maintain confidential information
  • Other duties as assigned

Job Related Qualifications

  • Ability to acquire, within a reasonable time span, knowledge of RUS General Accounting
  • Possess a valid Texas drivers’ license
  • Insurable with the Cooperative's auto insurance carrier
  • Possess oral and written communication skills in the English language
  • Possess excellent interpersonal skills including the ability to maintain a harmonious working relationship with all Cooperative employees
  • Must be or become certified in first aid and cardiopulmonary resuscitation

Special Requirements

  • Required to pass a physical examination when employed
  • Must have sufficient health to perform the essential functions, duties and responsibilities of the job
  • Requires lifting, pushing, pulling, or carrying of weights
  • Sitting/standing for extended periods of time
  • Traveling
